ABOUT US

Pete Jansen of Lone Tree Creations

Working from his private studio in Fort Collins Colorado, Pete creates stunning portraits and highly collectable numbered art in wood. Starting with ultra high quality woods and wood products, Pete starts with an idea, drawing or image, and begins the conversion from idea to workable pattern. After the patterns are created, the artwork is cut by hand in the studio. After all the cuts have been made, sometimes numbering in the hundreds, the artwork is sealed with finish material and prepared for framing. As a working artist and craftsman for more than 25 years, Pete Jansen's artwork continues to grow in popularity, as well as collectability. More about Pete's artwork and Lone Tree Creations

Originally from southern Michigan, I started creating artwork in different mediums including pencil, pen & ink, charcoal, oil paints, acrylic paints, wood, metal and plastics. After moving to Arizona in 1979 I continued to draw and paint, but started to grow as an artist using nothing but a saw, wood and finishes, creating custom portriats for clients from their personal photographs. With this custom portrait business growing quickly, I started Lone Tree Creations and opened a private studio in Northern Arizona.

After creating hundreds of custom portraits, I started creating other styles of art in wood including eagles, native american, wolves, birds and landscapes to name a few. All new artwork is signed, dated and numbered by me. No artwork will be produced with more than 500 pieces total worldwide. Most pieces are limited to between 250 and 300 pieces worldwide. These limited edition production numbers insure that the artwork increases in value. The value of limited edition complete collections increase even faster. With clients contacting me at Lone Tree Creations from counties all over the world, my work is becoming very popular and my ideas grow every day.

Now based out of beautiful Fort Collins Colorado, I now enjoys inspiration from the the nearby Rocky Mountains as well as the rivers, lakes, farms and stunning homes and old buildings. You can look forward to seeing some fresh new artwork come out of the larger and improved Lone Tree Creations studio here in Colorado. Thanks for stopping by.
